Loni: "I really want to get down to my goal weight so I need YOUR help. Can you help me stay motivated to lose weight? Which means you need to be good, too." ( While eating chocolate chips).
Malcolm: "Yep, I can do that."
Later that night.
Loni: "Where did the chocolate chips go??? Did you throw them AWAY?!?!"
Malcolm: "Yes, I did."
Loni: "Malcolm, chocolate chips are expensive!!"
Malcolm: "Yes, I know". (Said very patiently)
Loni walks away angrily.
Hmmmm...... Today, I am grateful for a husband who stays patient whenever I get mad at him for doing something I asked him to do.

Our Holly.JOLLY. Christmas.
Our Christmas was kind of quiet this year with just Malcolm and I. We decided that Christmas is much more fun when there's small kids around. Maybe next year there was will be a small kid on the way..? :) Or we can just go spend Christmas with someone in the family who has a kid...or kids. We still watched White Christmas, had a wonderful sacrament meeting, l o u n g e d around, opened presents and ate dinner with the Nelson's in our ward.
Malcolm thought the onesie his family sent was for HIM. He realized how mistaken he was after seeing this picture of himself. |

Would you like some Crazy Bread with that?
We've been spending a lot of our time at Little Caesars this week. Being able to work with each other has been pretty fun! I'm sure our apartment smells like garlic and Parmesan from our work clothes (also mixed with the smell of the Thai restaurant down stairs). All in all, Hot N Ready pizza and crazy bread are consuming our lives! :)

A Winter Wonderland
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....with our homemade Christmas tree!! Malcolm's sister, Tiffany, came over last night and we colored the tree and she taught us how to make snowflakes. She is so crafty and talented :) I broke a chair in the process of hanging up the snowflakes and Malcolm made a nice little contraption to put it back together. Enjoy.
It even has Angela's green star on top!
He's so handy.

The things we do to have fun....
We had some friends over on Sunday for dinner and wanted to play a game. We don't have very many games so we made one up ourselves! Can you guess what's going on??

MONTEREY BABY!!
I know it's been about 3 months since these pictures were taken but I couldn't start a blog without posting some of our favorite pics from the Honeymoon! :) Just looking back through these makes me miss clam chowder, beautiful humid beaches, and majestic boardwalks....Maybe our next vacation will be a trip back to Monterey...when we're rich one day.
This is at the Monterey Bay Aquarium
Beautiful beach in Caramel.
WHALE WATCHING! This was WAY fun. Even though we only saw a really big flat fish and some otters. The waves were HUGE! Malcolm has such a steady head, he could be out on those waters all day. Me, on the other hand....
Ha. Ha. ....Ha.
All I can say is Mirror Maze. 4 times in a row with 3D glasses. After eating really rich crab. (Malcolm is actually sick, Loni is making fun)
We saw GUY from FOOD NETWORK!
This looks like a really sweet pic where I am about to pet a friendly squirrel. What you don't know by just looking at this is I lured the squirrel in with a piece of my chewed gum (apple pie flavored). He took it and ate it! The next pic is of him putting the gum in his mouth. He might have died later....
We rented a tandem bike and rode around the coast. We both pedaled but Malcolm was the only one who could steer. (Insert pic of Loni terrified.) But it was nice sometimes to occasionally lift my fit and let the man do the pedaling :)
This restaurant, on the wharf, reeled us in with their delicious clam chowder. I got crab stuffed salmon. We decided to sit inside because the huge seagulls would sit and watch people outside eating. As soon as they got up, the gull's would attack the table and get the extra food.
This is some type of bacon thing rolled around white fish. AMAZING!
We tried walking back to our car from the wharf and decided to take a "shortcut" through the houses. (The houses here are unique and magnificent!) ....SOMEONE got us lost and we finally just sat down on the curb and got our our gps.
