A Winter Wonderland
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....with our homemade Christmas tree!! Malcolm's sister, Tiffany, came over last night and we colored the tree and she taught us how to make snowflakes. She is so crafty and talented :) I broke a chair in the process of hanging up the snowflakes and Malcolm made a nice little contraption to put it back together. Enjoy.

You're nice! I made Daron buy us a Christmas tree for our first Christmas- with money we didn't have! It was fake and it was really small. Then A few years ago, I found out that he threw it away because he thought we didn't need it anymore!! I was so sad. I guess he is not as sentimental as I am.

I make Mom put up our fake tree every year, because I just get the bah humbug thing going with anything remotely crafty or mechanical or electric. She is the handy one. But nobody makes goofy faces like Malcolm. Someday, when he tells your kids, "Hey, if you keep making that face it'll stick that way!" they will say, "Like yours did, Daddy?"
ReplyDeleteSeriously, I love you guys. You make life interesting on a dime. We remember doing that when we were first married. Our first month was so poor we had no food in the house and no money. We searched and searched under cushions, in purse and wallet, in corners, and found, believe it or not, about 8 bucks. Instead of buying groceries, we bought a pizza. Could have made it last a week and we ate one meal and watched our 12 inch black and white tv.
Amazing we lived long enough to bear children.
